the skirts we have me have to wear up to our belly button, because the top is so short. It annoys me just a tad, but i can't do anything about it.

Just one question, is the shirt supposed to ride up? (not the long sleeved one) It doesnt show skin, but im really not used to wearing bottoms that high. so are the shirts supposed to ride up when you cheer? It fits fine.

Thanks

  1. yah crop top uniforms have an elastic band at the bottom that hold against your stomach, but a traditional shell unless you have it made with a banded bottom isn't elastic on the bottom.  I cheer for HS and our 2 uniforms are regular shells. With my uniforms i normally wear the skirt a tiny bit below my belly button.  My shell comes down and overlaps the top of my skirt just slightly, its a little short but id rather have it shorter than too long (too much fabric is dangerous!) a good fitting shell should come down and at least touch your skirt waist, showing stomach only when arms are up in a cheer. I've also noticed with my uniforms that my back will show a few inches if im sitting, but most shirts do that...so yah its normal if it rides up.  We don't wear anything under our shells besides a bra so nothing covers the midriff under our shells.
