  1. Where are you living with no micro.. Alas, you could put the cheese in a pot and melt it on the stove. Or you could heat the oven to around 200 degrees and melt it that way. But PLEASE PLEASE be careful. Get your mom to help you or something. I don't think a 13 year old should be using this equipment.

  2. Cheese Dipping Sauce for Pretzels

    2 tablespoons butter

    2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

    1 cup milk

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (or more if you like a cheesier sauce)

1 teaspoon prepared mustard (or more)

Have all ingredients measured and ready to add in before you begin.  In a medium-size saucepan, melt butter or margarine on medium heat. Watch carefully; do not allow butter to turn brown.  Mix in flour using a wire whisk and cook very briefly, whisking continuously.

Slowly pour milk into the mixture, continuing to whisk until mixture has thickened.  Keep whisking so that the sauce does not scorch.

Remove from heat and add in the shredded cheese and mustard.  Cover and set aside for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.   Whisk again to blend everything together.  Serve warm and enjoy!

(PS.  Age 13 is plenty old enough to cook!  Just be careful, have all your ingredients ready before you begin, and keep your attention fully focused on what you're doing.  Good luck!)

  3. I'm 13 too =)

Try melting the cheese in a small size cooking pot on the stove at around 200-350 degrees until the cheese is a liquidity form.
