How did Disney come up with these crazy names???

I mean, who has these as names in real life???

First off, Disney did not "create" these names. The cheetah girls was a series of books long before it was a movie. In the books there are lots of slang words, and different ways of saying common phrases. The author even provided a glossery in the back of the book. Did you know that Aqua originally ha d a twin sister in the book? The movie changed a lot from the series. The whole series is urban-y, so the author came up with colorful, unique names that would catch peoples attention.

It was a book series before a movie, Disney didn't create those names (as if they could) the author of the series did (who is a black woman)

Hahahahah Disney's trying to be unique as usual! I think Aqua's a really pretty name, Chanel's a brand, but I have NO idea if names like Galleria and Dorinda exist. But I think its kinda nice! I'm tired of the usual Adam's and Jesse's and Joe's and Kelly's. This is a good change! :)

Dude, I hate the Cheetah Girls it is just so stupid. There names aren't even real either like you said. I'm so glad that this is the last movie and we don't have to see them anymore.

chanels not a bizzare name, um galleria is wierd...its actually the name of a mall in vegas, and aqua and dorinda...i really dont know about those lol

i am not into the cheetah girls really so i don't hear their names much but once on a commercial i heard aqua and i though that was strange
