Not a Captain’s performance this one. He was often left exposed by his midfield and defensive partners, though his lack of pace hardly did him any favours. Luiz needs to grow as a defender. While his athleticism and youthful exuberance shown through often, his positioning needs to improve for him to claim being a world class defender.

Rarely troubled in one-on-one situations was Cole, though he provided little attacking input in the final third. A team defends as a unit, and Cole must take the blame for conceding three on the night.

Not the type of performances that have edged him closer to the hearts of the Blues faithful. Gave away possession way to often and that resulted in Chelsea being unable to pressurise the visitors with attacking play.
