Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti believes that players have not been affected by exit talk: EPL News
Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti has played down suggestions that his team has been affected by the speculation surrounding the Italian’s future at Stamford Bridge. It is widely believed that Ancelotti is on his way out of the club after the end of the
current season of the Barclays Premier League, having failed to lead the Blues to any silverware this campaign.
It only goes to show that a manager’s position is never safe at Chelsea. In the owner's, Roman Abramovich, eight year reign, Chelsea have gone trophy-less just twice. On both previous occasions, Abramovich opted to dismiss the manager responsible. Now it
seems, as if Ancelotti is destined to meet the same fate. The Italian has seen his side endure a dismal season, one which unravelled completely after their Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester United a few weeks ago.
There were reports that the uncertainty regarding Ancelotti’s position had negatively affected the Chelsea dressing room. However, the Blues boss insists that his players are as focused as ever on the task at hand. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are looking to secure at least
second place in the League standings, and Ancelotti claims that his side is playing well enough to achieve that target.
Speaking on the matter, the Italian said, “They are working with me at this moment. Maybe they will work with me in the future. Maybe they will not work with me in the future, but with another coach. Everyone doesn't have a good memory but this team, in
the last month or more, did very well in the Premier League.”
In fact, Ancelotti has not yet ruled out the possibility of overtaking Manchester United in the race for the Premier League title.
He added, “This team have played good football and won a lot of games. Maybe two months ago, no-one could think we could come back to fight for the title. We didn't think this, but we are not so far from Manchester United and we're very close to Arsenal.
Two months ago, this was a dream. In general, the team are doing well in the Premier League.”
Chelsea are currently placed in the third spot of the Premier League rankings.
