Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti reacts, 'One less – Winless': EPL News

Chelsea lost to Manchester United by 2-1 at old Trafford on 12 April and were knocked out of the UCL for yet another season. The trophy drought in Europe continues and Carlo Ancelotti believes that the goal just before the half time was the sucker punch for
Chelsea’s champions league dreams.
The defeat will not go down too well with the owner, Roman Abramovich, who desperately wants the champions league title for Chelsea and Ancelotti might be the next to lose his job like his predecessors.

Chelsea played well for most of the first half but were caught out as once again http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ramires-c30523 was sent off after
getting his second yellow card. Carlo claims that this could have been avoided, had the player been more careful.

He said, “We were good, good possession, good attacking play and in the last 10 minutes of the first half it was difficult, they had more opportunities , scored a goal and it made the second half more difficult to come back. We tried obviously, but also we
had 10 men, it was really difficult.”

Carlo also explained why he started with misfiring http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 only to be replaced by Drogba at half time, “I put Fernando because his skills and ability could be good for us. I thought a lot of time to take this decision, but Didier
played very well in the second half. I wanted to put more pressure in front because we needed to score and I think Didier was fresh, this was the reason to take out Fernando.”

The defeat now leaves Chelsea with the only league to play for. Currently, in the third position, it seems highly unlikely that Chelsea will pose United a threat. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 has to make sure they finish in the top four for Champions League football next season
as Tottenham and Manchester City are pushing hard for the fourth place. Chelsea will clash with the West Bromwich Albion. It will be a huge task for Ancelotti to lift the morale of the squad for the game and for the other six games that will follow.
