Chelsea's manager Carlo Ancelotti wants his troops to give it all for Barclays Premier League
Chelsea's boss Carlo Ancelotti has urged his team to give their best and fight for the Barclays Premier League title till the last minute of the ongoing 2010-11 season.
Chelsea are currently placed second in the Barclays Premier League six points behind league's leader, Manchester United, and they still have to play Sir Alex Ferguson’s devils at Old Trafford.
Carlo Ancelotti’s troops had a superb start of the season and also emerged as one of the strong favourites to retain their Barclays Premier League title. However, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s mid-season's poor
form that saw the team slumped to the fifth place in the league standings, ruled them out of the title race. But, the Blues’ recent impressive form has put them right back into the league's contention and they still have an outside chance of winning the title.
Chelsea will play host to the fifth-placed Tottenham Hotspur whereas Manchester United will play away at Arsenal this weekend and Ancelotti is hoping that Arsenal get a positive result against
Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
Ancelotti told reporters, “I'm sure that Arsenal will do their job, we have to do our job. Our job is to win against Tottenham. It will not be easy because Tottenham is a very good team,
very strong, but I think that we want to keep open the Premier League until the last minute, so we have a possibility to do this.
Manchester United are unbeaten at Old Trafford in the ongoing 2010-11 season and Ancelotti also admitted that his team would have to win at Old Trafford in order to remain in title contest.
Ancelotti said, “Obviously we have to beat Man United, we have to beat Tottenham, but our aim is this. Maybe Man United can win the title but we have to fight until the last minute of this
Premier League. "
A win for Chelsea against Tottenham Hotspur and a defeat for Manchester United will put Carlo Ancelotti’s men three points behind Sir Alex Ferguson’s side. Moreover, both teams will lock
horns at Old Trafford next week which could potentially decided the destination of the Barclays Premier League title.
