Chelsea is one of the top football clubs of English Premier League. The men in blue are known for their aggressive play and their performance in the last season has resulted in a massive increase of their fan following. So if you are one of those recent
fans of Chelsea football club, here is a brief insider to the club.
Chelsea was formed in 1905. Its stadium’s capacity is 41,841 and its pitch measures 103×67 meters. Chelsea Football Club is owned by the company named as Chelsea FC plc which is further controlled by Roman Abramovich.

Directors: Eugene Tenenbaum, Ron Gourlay (chief executive).
The chairman Bruce Bunk was born in New York. He himself was a Chelsea supporter ever since he came to London in 1983 and been a season ticket holder since 1991. He is also a share holder in Chelsea Limited.
Ron Gourlay was formally a chief operating officer. He has been with Chelsea for five years, working at director-level roles before becoming chief executive in November 2009. With 25 years of experience, he has been formally working with Manchester United
and Umbro.
Eugene Tenenbaum was born in the Ukraine. He is currently working as a managing director of MHC Services Ltd. He has completed his bachelor’s degree in commerce and finance and in economics from University of Toronto. He is also a Canadian Chartered Accountant.
Ron Gourlay is the one who looks after all day to day affairs of Chelsea.
Chris Alexander, the Finance and Operations Director excels as a Chartered Accountant and has 20 years of financial management experience in various industries. He has also completed his MBA at one of Europe’s leading business schools.
David Bernard, Director/ Club Secretary joined in July 2002. He is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the football Department. He had been working in other clubs like Fulham, Colchester and Wimbledon. He has just completed his thirty seasons
in football.
Company Secretary, Alen Shaw joined Chelsea in 1993. He has a vast work experience in construction, HR, customer services and planning teams through a variety of projects in different organisations from retail to engineering, merchant banking and professional
football. He is highly interested in tennis, horse racing and cinema.
Members of Football Club Board include Bruce Buck, Eugene Tenenbaum, Ron Gourlay, David Barnard, Mike Forde, and Frank Arnesen.
The training ground for Chelsea is situated at Cobham in Surrey. The training sessions are not open to public. But for fans, special open days are organised at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea operates a crèche and caters for children aged one to five years on home weekend match days. This service is free but the donations are appreciated.
Chelsea has work partnership with the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham and the Metropolitan Police Services in their endeavours to create a safe environment for supporters and the local community.
Chelsea Football Club’s ground regulations are applied to anyone who enters the stadium, a copy of which can be requested from the club.
Chelsea FC does not tolerate racism at all. In fact the club has a leading role in all the major anti-racist campaigns such as Kick Racism out of Football, Show Racism a Red Card and all UEFA backed Europe-wide campaigns.
