France football and other sources have confirmed that English Premier League side Chelsea FC did make a last-minute bid for LOSC Lille midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 this January only to see it rejected by the Belgian’s club
Conflicting reports suggest that LOSC Lille star, Eden Hazard is set to join English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in the winter transfer window. The Belgian international has been a subject of interest among many European elite clubs.
However, it has been reported that the youngster might have already agreed to terms over a move to the White Hart Lane.
The prospect of playing in the Champions League is enticing for the playmaker and he will prefer to play for a club that can offer him regular Champions League.
Reports claim that Andre Villas Boas’ Chelsea FC, did make a last-minute bid to LOSC Lille for Eden Hazard. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Football claims that Les Dogues received a bid of 33 million Euros plus 2 million Euros in bonuses.
However, the residents of Villeneuve d’Ascq declined the London club’s proposal. Lille rate Hazard at 40 million Euros and are unwilling to yield at any cost. A club, that manages to meet Lille’s valuation, will be in pole position to sign the talented midfielder
who is still unsure about his future.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 have the financial muscle to sign Hazard but the Belgian, who closely watches English Premier League, is not thrilled by what he has seen so far from Chelsea. The Londoners are currently in fifth place in the league standings and may well miss out
on a place in the Champions League next season.
The likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Tottenham are also interested in last season’s UNFP player of the year’s services but it appears that Harry Redknapp’s Spurs have a better chance of signing the talented midfielder as his side are favourites to finish
at least third in the league this season.
Furthermore, Spurs are on the rise in the Premier League and Hazard would naturally be interested in being part of the project in which he will certainly play a big role if he chooses to join them.
