Chelsea FC have been boosted by the return of their inspirational captain John Terry who is back in action after missing the last 3 league games due to a leg injury.
Terry is ready to lead his side against Everton FC in the English Premier League on Saturday at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues will be looking to get back to winning ways when they play in front of the home crowd since they have not managed to win their last 3 games.
Keeping clean sheets at the back has been the main problem for Carlo Ancelotti in recent games.
English Champions’ last clean sheet came against Fulham FC in the west-London derby, which Chelsea won 1-0.
Chelsea then conceded 3 against Sunderland AFC without reply, and lost the match which was their worst league defeat for over 8 years.
The captain-charismatic has now called his team-mates to take their game to a higher level after recent slip-ups.
The Blues will also welcome the return of star midfielder Michael Essien who was suspended for 3 games. The Ghanaian international is a symbol of stability in the Blues machine and also links the play from midfield to attack.
Brazilian defender Alex has also been ruled out for at least 8 weeks. The centre-back has flown to South America to undergo a knee surgery and is expected to return in January.
Terry is happy to get Essien back in the team. He said, “By the looks of things we are getting two or three players back. Hopefully Michael will return at the weekend as will I. I have trained the last couple of days and Frank is not too far away.”
John was of the opinion that hard work and resilience is the key if Chelsea are to get back to the top of the pile in the league.
He said, “We need to get back to winning ways sooner rather than later. I think we have played well the last couple of games and on another day three or four may have gone in."
