Chelsea Latest News: Fernando Torres wants an Atletico Madrid return
Fernando Torres plans to return to Atletico Madrid
After making a controversial, record breaking move to Stamford Bridge, Fernando Torres revealed recently that he would like to end his career at Atletico Madrid. The Spaniard moved to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salomon-Kalou-c32266 from Atletico in 2007 for a fee of £22 million and remained with the Reds for three and half seasons after which he transferred to Chelsea.
However, the 26-year-old revealed he would love to return to his first club once again. He can be excused for making such comments, especially after the horrific debut against Liverpool. He featured at the front alongside Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka but failed to make an impact, and the Blues lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Torres said while speaking to reporters, “There is still a lot of time but this is the idea I have always had. I talked to CEO Miguel Angel http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Wilshere-c17463 and I know that while he is there, I will always have doors open to me at this club. I owe a lot to Atletico, who will always be my team. I have always been close with the Gil family.”

The Super Lig outfit have been keeping an eye on the 25-year-old striker for a while now and are ready to bring him over to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Turkey-c3026 during the summer transfer window.
The Ivorian striker has been in excellent form for the Blues, considering the fact that he has to compete with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707, Nicolas Anelka, and now Fernando Torres. He has scored eight goals this season and provided four assists, which gives him an approximate efficiency ratio of a goal or assist every 117 minutes.
He is contracted to the Blues until the end of the 2012 season but the arrival of Torres means the striker has even less of a chance to secure his place in the first team and might be reserved to a spot on the bench.
Stuart Pearce impressed with Josh McEachran
Chelsea youngster Josh McEachran received much earned praise as he made his debut for the England under-21 side. Coach Stuart Pearce revealed that he felt the 17-year-old teenager was on his way of earning a spot in the first team after his impressive display against Italy on Tuesday. Despite England losing the match 1-0, McEachran was easily the best player on the pitch.
He went ahead to compare the Chelsea star to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786, he said while speaking to reporters, “Chelsea think extremely high of him and you can see why. He`s got ability and vision. All of our cutting passes came from him. He is an outstanding talent, similar to Jack Wilshere.”
Stuart Pearce previously stated that he would include the youngster in the squad if he felt he was up to the mark. The player has been putting in some great performances for his team and it won’t be a surprise if he starts to feature in the starting 11 for the England U-21 side regularly.
