Manchester City defender Micah Richards revealed he was aware of the interest shown by some Premier League clubs for him during the transfer window. The 22-year-old England international has been having an uncertain time at Eastlands, which is why he did
not completely rule out a Manchester City exit.
Richards insisted he wished to stay at Manchester City but only if he was guaranteed first team football. The Englishman said he had heard rumors linking him to the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa but said he would only consider a move if he was replaced
at City.
Richards said while speaking to reporters, “I want to stay here, of course. There were a couple of links with Chelsea and Aston Villa but I have not heard anything myself. I am happy as long as I'm in the team at Manchester City, but if I'm not playing then
I would rather go somewhere else and play regular football.”
