Even after spending £73 million in the January transfer window to bring in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542 to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is determined to continue his spending. The Russian billionaire is reportedly planning another spending
spree in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The players Chelsea have reportedly targeted for the summer could mean the Blues will have to compete with the likes of Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur to secure their signatures. So far Jack Rodwell, Aguero and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 have emerged as the
top targets for the London side.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jack-Rodwell-c17462, the 20-year-old Everton midfielder, has surfaced as one of the most exciting players in the Premier League this season. It was previously reported that Everton had come to an agreement with Manchester United for the youngster for a fee of £15
million.
However, Everton boss David Moyes rejected all such rumors. The Scotsman said he had no intention of selling one of his best players despite the financial problems Everton had been facing. Rodwell recently signed a long term five year deal with the Toffees
but could be facing a Goodison Park exit if the right price is offered.
Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is a long time admirer of the former England under-21 International and is reportedly willing to increase his bid to £20 million. The Red Devils can expect to face competition from the Blues, who will have no trouble
paying the £20 million or more to bring Rodwell to Stamford Bridge.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 International Wesley Sneijder is another player Chelsea are currently keeping track of for a possible move at the end of the campaign. The attacking midfielder could cost up to £30 million, which will once again be too expensive a price for Manchester
United.
This leaves Chelsea as favorites to sign the 26-year-old Inter Milan star, who has also previously played for Ajax and Real Madrid. Sneijder was crucial for Inter Milan when they clinched the treble last season and also played an important part for his National
side as they reached the final of the 2010 World Cup.
Last but not least, the player who has been linked with a Stamford Bridge move more than anyone in the past, Sergio Aguero. The 22-year-old highly talented Argentine International has been linked with the Blues on numerous occasions but an agreement could
never be reached between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid.
The Blues will be preparing a gigantic bid for the Madrid striker in the summer in hopes of luring him away from the La Liga side. Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is planning to refurbish the current squad and hopes to bring in younger players to replace the
older ones.
Some top Chelsea stars like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 are all set to leave soon, which will make some funds available for new signings. Even if the above mentioned players don’t fetch a good price, Abramovich will be determined to
spend however much necessary to bring in stars to fill in the open spots.
