According to reports in Spanish media, Premier League duo Chelsea and Manchester United will fight it out for the signature of Atletico Madrid forward Sergio Aguero in the summer.
The Argentinean hit-man is considering his long-term future with the Spanish club and weighing up a move away from Madrid. The 22-year-old has emerged as one of most sought after players recently, with Tottenham Hotspur manager
Harry Redknapp lodging a £30-million bid during the January transfer window, which was rebuffed by Atletico. Now, Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlo Ancelotti have both set their eyes on the player and will slug it out for his signature.
The player’s agent has confirmed to a leading Spanish newspaper that Chelsea and Manchester United are both interested in the player and preparing a big money bid for the talented striker.
Aguero recently signed a new long-term contract at Atletico Madrid following the £30-million January bid from Spurs, however, the striker wants to challenge for major honours and play in Champions League football on a regular basis.
