Chelsea are not in crisis, says John Terry
Chelsea's captain John Terry has gone ahead and insisted on the fact that Chelsea are far from being a crisis club and all the team really needs to do at the moment, is stick together and stay confident. He also believes that if the team managed to have
a positive attitude, then they could potentially get their title challenge back on track before the start of the new year.
Chelsea have managed to win just one of the last six games that they have played and are now on the road for a series of tough fixtures starting with Tottenham tonight, followed by Manchester United and Arsenal. If the team manages to secure a handful of
points from these games, then it is safe to say that their title challenge will be back on track once again.
However Chelsea's current form is a mere shadow of the form that the team displayed at the start of the season when they were crushing everything in sight.
Terry is reported to however stated that every team goes through a rough patch and what really makes a team a team of champions is their ability to come out of these rough patches unharmed and stronger than ever.
Terry was caught saying the following in an interview: "We're going through a bad spell"
"Man United didn't start too well, Arsenal had a blip and lost at home to teams we wouldn't expect them to, and hopefully this will be the end of our blip otherwise teams are going to pull away.
"We need to go on a good run and now would be the perfect time with Tottenham, Man United and Arsenal coming up it would be ideal for us.
"We've got big players here who are hopefully prepared to rise to the challenge and put their neck on the line."
According to most experts, Chelsea still have the ability and quality amongst their ranks, to turn the title race on its head once again and go on and threaten Arsenal and United to regain top spot. Another major factor that is going to be working for the
team shortly is the fact that Frank Lampard, who happens to be a living legend at the club is still set to make his come back into the side at any moment now and his return is one that could help give the team a push in the right direction.
