The Brazilian picked up the injury in the second half in the fixture held on Saturday and Loftus Road and had to be stretchered off the pitch. He is believed to have suffered a knee ligament injury and according to the manager will be out for up to four
weeks.
The 24-year-old has been in terrific form this season for the Blues and will be disappointed for the one month layoff. Andre Villas-Boas will also be disappointed to have lost one of his best midfielders as the second half of the season resumes.
However, the Portuguese manager was pleased with the fact that Ramires did not require surgery on his knee injury. He revealed the player was set to have further tests and scans which would reveal the true extent of the unfortunate injury.
Villas-Boas said in an interview:
“It looks like a medial ligament injury, not so bad in terms of knee injuries. He will have the MRI scan tomorrow; I think hopefully he will avoid an operation.
We could look at four weeks (out). We have to see the full extent of the injury.”
Ramires joined the English Premier League giants in the summer transfer window of 2010 under manager Carlo Ancelotti from Benfica for an estimated fee of 22 million euros on a four year long contract. in all competitions for the Blues, scoring ten goals and providing 2 assists.

boss revealed the Nigerian would be unavailable for the weekend clash.
He continued:
“Frank we have to see how he comes back for training, he is still a doubt, a 50 per cent chance, and Mikel shouldn't make it.”
