Sources reveal Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has identified another player as a possible replacement for the injured midfielder, Michael Essien, 21-year-old Yann M'Vila. The 28-year-old Ghanaian sustained a knee injury during pre-season, which has ruled
him out for at least six months. This means Essien will be unavailable for the first half of the upcoming campaign and Villas-Boas has to find a replacement.

days. Modric on the other hand still remains out of reach for the Blues, with Tottenham Hotspur refusing to sell the Croatian.
