Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas not looking to buy in the January transfer window
Andre Villas-Boas, the Chelsea manager, revealed he was not interested in the Bolton Wanderers defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luka-Modric-c22857. The Blues have been linked with both the players for a while now, but according to the Portuguese
manager the London side were no longer interested in acquiring their services.
The January transfer window is close, which is why rumours are at an all time high. Since Chelsea were previously linked with the aforementioned players, it is only natural to link the London side to them once again. However, Villas-Boas revealed he was
not interested in Cahill, neither Modric.
While Villas-Boas admitted Cahill was a top player, he did not feel the Blues required his services, having already too many players to fill the central defensive position. He applauded the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international but did not feel he was right for the Blues
in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Villas-Boas said while speaking to reporters:
“He's a fantastic player because he plays for the English national team, a central defender of high qualities.
He had a fantastic year last season for club and country. But he is not a player that we are considering.”
As for Modric, the player Chelsea were willing to pay 40 million pounds for, Villas-Boas revealed the Blues no longer required his services. for the midfield spot.
He added:
“We have (Michael) Essien returning and I think we have left that one for sure.”

It is rumoured the Blues could make another attempt for Pereira this time around, but Villas-Boas revealed they were not looking to buy from his old club. He claimed they were happy with the existing squad.
He revealed:
“I don't think so based on prices and because we are not looking. We are pretty satisfied with what we've got.”
