The Portuguese manager revealed that he did not enjoy the support of the entire squad anymore but that he was not worried by the new developments. According to Villas-Boas he retained the support of Abramovich and at the end of the day that was all that
mattered to him.
Following a slump in their form which saw them suffer a 2-0 defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 in the English Premier League some of the players reportedly challenged the manager in a training session. It was believed the young manager would soon be sacked but it has emerged
that the Russian billionaire retains his support in Villas-Boas.
Villas-Boas said while speaking to reporters:
"They don't have to back my project. It's the owner who backs my project."
The 34-year-old manager labelled his side’s performance against Everton as their worst ever and called them in on their day off. He later admitted while speaking to the media that he did not have their support anymore but that he was not too concerned as
long as the owner maintained faith in him.
He revealed:
“I don't think so, but it's a question that you will have to ask the owner.
I think the owner has full trust in me and will continue to progress with the ideas that we have.
In the end, that is the objective, of getting us the best position possible in the league, plus these two trophies.”

fans something to cheer about.
Villas-Boas continued:
“If you are able to gain strength from these situations, maybe you could go on to a run of good results. We have, I think, a good run of games to show our qualities.
