Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti praises Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp, backs him for England job
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed that he believed the prospect of a place in next seasons UEFA Champions League would be motivation enough for Tottenham Hotspur to give their best in the remaining fixtures of the English Premier League. The Spurs travel
to Stamford Bridge today to take on Chelsea, with both sides desperate for a win and all three points.

and straight wins in the remaining four fixtures can guarantee them a shot at retaining the Premier League crown.
Harry Redknapp’s side on the other hand, are at fifth place and need a victory today to ensure they finish in the top four, which will guarantee them European football next season. The Spurs did surprisingly well in the UEFA Champions League this season
and will be hoping they qualify for the coveted cup competition once again next season.
Ancelotti said while speaking to reporters, “They played the quarter-final of the Champions League. If you are not able to do this the next year, it will be more difficult to manage and to attract the players to your team. When you have the smell to play
the Champions League, you would like to play every time the Champions League.”
The Italian manager revealed the Spurs had to maintain their top four status if they wished to establish themselves as a top side in the English Premier League. Ancelotti was confident that was the only way the Spurs could attract top players in the upcoming
summer transfer window to strengthen their squad for the next campaign.
Ancelotti was full of praise for the Spurs boss, Harry Redknapp. The Chelsea manager revealed he was impressed with the way the Englishman had developed the Spurs this season, in terms of organization and teamwork. He was confident Redknapp could take over

Ancelotti backed Redknapp for the England job, claiming he was one of the few managers who could handle the responsibility. He continued, “He has the ability, the skill, the experience to manage the England team in the future. I saw his team play. They are
playing with good organization. As a manager, he has a very good relationship with the players.”
Redknapp has also previously been linked with succeeding Ancelotti at Chelsea, after rumors that the Italian manager would be sacked at the end of the season if he failed to win silverware. Having been eliminated from the cup competitions earlier on, the
Premier League title is the Blues last shot at securing a trophy this season.
