http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 has revealed he could be back sooner than expected after undergoing an operation on his knee.
While he is expected to be sidelined for over a month, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 skipper revealed he could be back before that. His return would be a huge boost for the Chelsea side who are currently struggling this season in all competitions.
His absence has made all the difference for the Blues, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Gary-Cahill-c14439 having to take his place in central defence. The duo have not managed to be successful and managed their first ever clean sheet against Bolton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.
It seems Luiz and former Bolton Wanderers defender Gary Cahill are improving with time and more experience, but maybe they won’t have to be put to the test as often as previously expected if Terry manages to make an early return.
Terry said in an interview:
“The operation went well and I'm feeling really good.
The surgeon has shaved off a bit of bone in my right knee that was rubbing and causing a lot of swelling.
We're all confident the operation has solved the problem and it is looking good for a quick return.”
John Terry confirmed the operation had been successful and he was feeling good about it, with the surgeons having dealt with the problem that was bothering him. He admitted he could be making an early return if everything went according to schedule.
He revealed:
“The medical staff say four to six weeks before I can play again. But, hopefully, it might be sooner.
I'll definitely be back before the end of the season to help the team in the Premier League run-in and for the Euros.”
According to Terry, he expected to return for the Blues before the end of the season to ensure he would help them secure a spot in the top three of the English Premier League. Unfortunately for the Blues, he will be unable to make it on time for the UEFA
Champions League clash against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003, but could definitely help the London side in the Premier League.
