Chelsea defender David Luiz enjoying his time in England – Premier League news
Chelsea defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Luiz-c10542 has revealed that he is enjoying his time at Chelsea and has settled to life in England.
Luiz joined Chelsea from the Portuguese club Benfica in a 25-million-pound deal in January 2011. The Brazilian has taken the Premier League by storm and won the Player of the Month award in March 2011.
The defender has not only helped Chelsea in maintaining clean sheets with solid defensive performances but has also scored a couple of vital goals for the club since his arrival. The 23-year-old scored winning goals in Premier League games against Manchester
United and Manchester City.
The former Benfica defender believes he is at the right club and is playing in the best league in the world.
“I am very happy, happy to be in the best league in the world and playing well. I think the dedication I show on the pitch has always meant that I have that connection with the fans. I work hard when I am out there and that means I get through to the fans.

He added, “It is a very developed country and London is the kind of city that anybody would want to live in. Chelsea have done a lot for me and made it easy just to focus on the football even though I have arrived halfway through the season and I am still
looking for a place to live.”
The defender is disappointed to learn that he is ineligible to represent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 in the UEFA Champions League in the ongoing 2010-11 season. Luiz played for Benfica earlier in the competition and according to rules, he cannot play with another team in the
same season.
Luiz has fast become a fan favourite at the club and he is delighted when the supporters take him as a role model. The defender wants to continue his impressive performances in the future too and wants to win trophies at Stamford Bridge.
