Chelsea defender David Luiz wants to triumph against Manchester United – EPL news
Chelsea new signing David Luiz has claimed that the Blues have the depth and strength to overcome Manchester United in the Barclays Premier League as well as in the UEFA Champions League.
Luiz said, “We want to do everything this season. We want to catch United in the Premier League and beat them in the Champions League. We have to believe - we can win the title. There are still many games and a lot of points to play for. I can't play in
the Champions League because I am cup-tied but I am very close to the team.”
“The happiness of my team-mates will be my happiness if they do well. I am really delighted that the fans have taken to me so soon but the best thing is that the team are in a good way. Of course, when the team are doing well it is much easier. It has become
easy for me to settle in because the players and the manager have helped me,” added the Brazilian defender.

David Luiz scored the first goal against Manchester City- his second against the Manchester club- in Chelsea’s 2-0 win in the Barclays Premier League match at Stamford Bridge. Luiz’s first goal came in Chelsea’s remarkable win over Manchester United few
weeks ago.
Despite marking an incredible start to the ongoing 2010-11 season, Carlo Ancelotti’s men endured a horrible mid-season in which they were slumped to fifth position in the table but they bounced back with an emphatic win over Manchester City and are right
back in the title chase.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s recent win over fourth-placed Manchester City has put them within touching distance of the League leaders Manchester United and they still have an outside chance of being able to retain their Barclays Premier League title.
Ancelotti’s men are now placed third in the League standings with 54 points to their credit out of 29 fixtures.
The Barclays Premier League champions are 9 points behind Manchester United and also have a game in hand. Moreover, Ancelotti’s men still have to play Sir Alex Ferguson’s team at Old Trafford, which could eventually decide the season for Chelsea.
Furthermore, Chelsea were drawn against Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, which will also be a repeat of the Moscow final back in 2008 that Manchester United won on penalties.
