Chelsea fail in outrageous fifty two million pound bid for Sergio Aguero
According to reports, Chelsea failed in landing Argentine sensation http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero and Diego Godin from Atletico Madrid. The team is reported to have made an audacious fifty two million pound bid for the duo and despite that outrageous amount being offered
for the players, Atletico went on to turn down the Blues.
Real Madrid were the last team to try and make a bid for Aguero, however the teams thirty nine million pound bid that the Spanish giants made for the Argentine was also turned down.
Miguel Angel Gil, the majority shareholder at the club stated: “Atletico have said no to the two offers because they believe in these two players”
Aguero, who has been rather brilliant ever since stepping on the field for Atletico has managed to score seven goals this season. While on the other hand Godin has managed to make forty three appearances, as a Uruguayan international.
The most astonishing part about this transfer news, is the fact that Chelsea did a rather remarkable job of keeping this transfer news under the covers. It was previously believed that Manchester City were the only team that could make such big investments,
nowadays. However, the sleeping giants Chelsea, seem to have come out of the blue to reinstate their position as one of the biggest spenders in the footballing world.
However, the fact that Chelsea have made this bid for over fifty million pounds, leads us to believe that Roman Abramovich has had a minute or two to think about the teams future and is now once again ready to spend out of his nose, to get the team up and
running again.
Chelsea displayed a rather poor run of form for over the last month or so, but they seem to stabilizing once again. The team went on to crush Bolton by four goals to nil and it seems like Carlo Ancelotti, has finally managed to give the team the boost that
they needed for so long.
As it stands, based on the bid that Chelsea have launched, it seems like Chelsea are more than likely to land a player or two by the end of the January transfer window. Which leads us to believe that it won’t be long before Benfica’s star centre back, David
Luiz makes his way to the Stamford Bridge. Chelsea have seen their previous offer for the player get rejected, but it seems like they are going to use their re-found stacks of cash, to swing the deal in their favour.
If http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 happen to do just that, then the team could potentially go on to win all their remaining games in the league. As a result the team could potentially be back in the title race, to help the likes of Arsenal and Manchester City put some pressure
on Manchester United, who are currently sitting pretty on top of the league table.
Nonetheless, the addition of a new world class talent could prove to be just what the team needs, to edge past their rivals, in this highly competitive season of the English Premier League.
