Chelsea forward Gael Kakuta denies Congo switch, wishes to play for France
Gael Kakuta, the 20-year-old Chelsea forward currently on loan to Bolton Wanderers, has denied reports that he will switch national teams to play for Congo instead of France. The winger c*m forward has already represented France on various youth levels but
not in the senior team as yet which means he could change allegiances to Congo if he wishes to do so.

national team manager Claude Le Roy has included Kakuta in the first preliminary squad to encourage the youngster to switch teams.
The Blues forward does not seem to be convinced; he confirmed that while he had received calls congratulating him on the call-up, he had no intention of moving. The Frenchman is an important player in the team; he was awarded the Golden Player award in the UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship, which the French under-19 side went on to win in 2010.
Kakuta said while speaking to reporters:
“I received phone calls congratulating me on my call-up, but since I have been 16 I have always played with French team.
I don't see why I would suddenly change one day.”
He denied reports that he had been contacted by the Congo coach regarding the call-up and revealed he was puzzled by the rumours and their beginnings. Kakuta insisted he wished to remain with France and was hoping for a call-up for the senior team, having
