Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech eyeing Manchester United scalp in the UEFA Champions League
Chelsea goalkeeper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837, wants to beat Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League in the ongoing 2010-11 competition, to avenge their defeat of the final of the 2007-08 campaign.

Cech is confident about his team’s chances of overcoming the Red Devils this time around, as he feels that United did not really outclass them in the last game as penalties decided the game.
"The records will say they won the game but they didn't really win it. They just had more luck in the shoot-out than we had. What's in the past is in the past. We are looking forward to the future and we hope this time it will be us who go through. We still
go into that game with confidence because our record against Manchester United in recent years is very good, especially at home.” Said Cech
Both teams topped their respective groups, while Chelsea marched comfortably past FC Copenhagen by winning 2-0 on aggregate to qualify for the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, United played very hard to progress after beating Olympique Marseille 2-1 on aggregate.
Cech feels that his side has the advantage because they know United’s style of play and Old Trafford is not a new place for them to visit. confidence and will go a long way on the pitch.
The 28-year-old is not happy about his team’s league position but is delighted with their progress in the UEFA Champions League so far. The former Rennes goalkeeper added that Champions League and Premier League are two different competitions and he is unsure
whether winning the Champions league can cover for not winning the league. However, Cech wants to win the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
