Chelsea invite Juan Cruz Mascia for talks, target Neymar interested in move to Italy
Chelsea invite Juan Cruz Mascia for talks
English Premier League defending champions, Chelsea have reportedly invited Juan Cruz Mascia, the 17-year-old Miramar Misiones striker, to hold talks in London. The Blues are interested in signing the young striker who has previously expressed his desire
to play in the English Premier League.
The Uruguayan is worth an estimated £1 million, which is very cheap compared to the £50 million the Blues recently paid for out of form 27-year-old striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 in the January transfer window. Having failed to score since his arrival, it comes
as no surprise that Chelsea are in the market for another striker.
Mascia has featured for the Uruguay under-17 national side several times and has managed to score an impressive six goals in the South American under-17 tournament. His goal tally makes him the top scorer of the competition, which is why he is being tracked
by several top sides.
It has been reported that many English, Spanish and Italian sides are keeping an eye on the talented 17-year-old striker. However, Chelsea are the first club to make an official approach for Mascia, who has been compared to Diego Forlan on many occasions.
Neymar reveals Serie A interest
The 19-year-old Brazil international and long time Chelsea target, Neymar revealed he would be happy to play in the Serie A, only a few days after admitting his desire to transfer to the La Liga. So far the young striker has expressed his desire to play
in London, Italy and Spain, all the while claiming he planned to stay at Santos.
Neymar has been linked with a move to Juventus but he did not confirm any rumours. The player said while speaking to reporters, “Serie A is one of the greatest Leagues in the world, but for now I am very happy here at Santos. Honestly, I am not thinking
about this. My father and my agent concern themselves with my future.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Neymar-c27639 has been with the Brazilian club since 2003 and made his senior debut in 2009, scoring 14 goals in 48 appearances. His form improved drastically in his second season at Santos, he scored 42 goals in 60 appearances. This season he has only scored 4
goals in 11 appearances but his overall performance has been brilliant.
It comes as no surprise that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 attempted to sign the young forward for £30 million last summer, but he decided to stay with Santos. He signed a long term five-year deal with the club, but with the increased amount of interest, he seems likely to be
heading abroad at the end of this campaign.
