Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti: http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 needs to improve
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786’s manager Carlo Ancelotti has finally gone on to admit to that Fernando Torres needs to up his game, since his performances so far have been rather poor. The manager also clarified that Torres' move to the Stamford Bridge has in no way caused Didier Drogba to feel unsure about his future at the club.
Torres made the switch to the Blues from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in January, for a record transfer fee of fifty million pounds. When signing him, the team expected to get the best out of the striker, however, that has not been the case since the forward is yet to score a goal for his new club and the way he is going, it seems like it would be a while before he did so.
Ancelotti when talking about Torres is reported to have said, “He has to improve, obviously.”
However, in order to not let his words cause any sort of demotivation to the player, he went on to defend him yet again by stating that the rest of the team need to build a better chemistry with the forward.
“But this has been his first two months here. If he has some difficulties building relationships with the players, that can happen. Sometimes he moves very well on the wrong side of the centre-back and the ball does not arrive at the same time so we have to improve this,” added the Chelsea manager.
When the manager was asked about how http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 felt about the whole transfer saga, he stated, “I spoke with Didier about this and his thought is that Torres is here to improve the power of the team. And, for this reason, he is happy. If he thought that Chelsea had bought Torres to replace him, obviously he would not be happy.”
Nonetheless, that does not mean that Torres needs to try and get the best out himself once again, the forward really has no excuse to blame his poor form other than his inability to maintain his form. With a couple of months left in the season, the forward is going to have to prove that he still has what it takes, or he wouldn’t be able to argue him being labelled a has-been.
