Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti says he will never manage Inter Milan
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he would never consider coaching Italian giants Inter Milan.
Carlo Ancelotti has a storied history with Inter’s bitter rivals AC Milan. The Italian spent almost 13 years with the Rossoneri, both as a player and a manager, and he claims that the club still holds a special place in his heart. During his playing days,
Ancelotti won 9 major trophies with AC Milan before leading the club to another 8 titles as manager.
Ancelotti left Milan back in the summer of 2009 to move to the greener pastures of the Premier League. The Italian was appointed as the manager of Chelsea after his departure from the Serie A. The Blues boss has found plenty of success with his new side;
however, he admitted that the ongoing 2010-11 season of the Premier League could very well be his last with the club.
Ancelotti has been strongly linked with a move back to the Serie A and only recently, he has been tipped to take the helm at Inter Milan. Club president Massimo Moratti is believed to be a fan of Ancelotti’s managerial ability, and there are reports that
he could offer the Chelsea boss a deal with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567. But the Italian claims that he will never agree to coach AC Milan’s city rivals.
Speaking on his future plans, Ancelotti said, “If I would go to Inter in place of (current Inter manager) Leonardo? No, although I respect certain personal choices. I've spent 13 years at Milan, for me it is impossible to deny the past. Moratti said he thought
also of me? I thank him for the kind words but I don't change my mind, I'm an AC Milan man.”
He added, “And in the event that Moratti had to call me in the future, I'll politely decline the invitation.”
However, he also denied that he would return to AC Milan. Ancelotti famously left the Italian giants in 2009 after a much publicised falling out with club owner Silvio Berlusconi. It seems that time does not heal all wounds, as the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 boss has not forgotten
how he was treated by his former club.
Chelsea are currently in third place in the Premier League standings, 9 points behind leaders Manchester United. However, the Blues have a game in hand over the Red Devils.
