Having been amongst the players who are no longer needed, Lampard addressed the issue, claiming the Blues still had need for the older, experienced players. It was no one other than Lampard who scored the winning goal for Chelsea in the clash against Wolverhampton
Wanderers.
It is for such reasons, the midfielder was certain the senior players in the team had a future with the club. Not only had they formed the spine of the team over the previous years, they were still contributing heavily to the team with their terrific performances.
Lampard said while speaking to reporters:
“The spine of the team is what's made us what we are over the past seven years.
We need those big players like John Terry who was magnificent at the back against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952.”
According to Lampard, the likes of skipper John Terry were crucial to lead the club to the title challenge, something the Blues did not seem to be involved in at the moment. Having lost to Aston Villa over the weekend, Chelsea lost the chance to close to

The English midfielder urged the team to maintain a winning mindset and work towards becoming a permanent top four team. The Blues are currently at fourth place and are aiming for a UEFA Champions League spot for the next season.
He revealed:
“The players in this squad need to be fighting for the League, and now there's a big gap.
You have to have that mindset, because the minute you lose that mindset, that's the minute you become a top-four team as opposed to a team that's challenging for the title.”
He continued:
“Champions League football is a http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bare-c7300 minimum. We've been involved in it for a long time."
