Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard praises Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers

Chelsea midfielder http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 revealed he was certain Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers would go on to be highly successful in the English Premier League. The Championship side have actually managed to do better than some Premier League teams in the
new campaign after being promoted to the top flight at the end of last season.
While they did not get off to a winning start in the English Premier League, losing 4-0 to Manchester City, Brendan’s side managed goal-less draws in their next Premier League fixtures against Wigan and Sunderland. After an undeserved 1-0 loss to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429,
Swansea City went on to secure their first win over West Bromwich Albion over the weekend.
After retiring from football, Rogers was appointed as the youth team coach at Reading. After Reading, the Northern Irish manager went on to join Jose Mourinho’s staff at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 for two years, he was promoted to the
reserve team. He got a chance to manage a club in 2008, with Watford offering him the manager’s post at the club, which Brendan took.
Lampard said while speaking to reporters:
“Brendan can go as far as he wants.

He was very highly-regarded at Chelsea. He was working with the youth and reserve teams but he also had a lot of interaction with the first team and everyone respected him from then.”
Just a year later, Rogers was selected to replace Steve Coppell as manager of Reading. A few months into the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 and it was announced that the 38-year-old was leaving the club by mutual consent. It was then that Rogers was appointed manager by Swansea City
in the summer of 2010. It did not take long for him to make Swansea into a top side in the Championship.
The Blues midfielder said he was not surprised that Rogers had done well with Swansea City, especially since he had all the makings of a top class manager. Apart from his experience in English football, the 38-year-old speaks different languages, which makes
it easier for him to communicate with players of different nationalities. Lampard revealed:

“It was blatantly obvious from then that he was going to go onto better things.

He's young, he's educated and he can speak different languages. He's a real professor of the game in the making.”
After winning the Football League Championship Manager of the Month in February, Rogers led his side to promotion to the Premier League in his very first season at the club. Swansea City finished the season in style, defeating Ipswich Town 4-1 as they secured
a place in the England’s top flight football for the 2011-2012 season. Brendan’s biggest challenge now will be to ensure they stay afloat, avoiding relegation.
While Rogers enjoyed his first win over the weekend, Chelsea stumbled to a 3-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Lampard said he was certain Swansea City would do well under Rogers, even though this was his first time managing a club in the Premier
League.
He said:
“He's also has a great character. For me, I hope he does very well at Swansea this year.

In the long-term future, he can go anywhere he wants."
