Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard praises Swansea City manager Brendan Rogers

He was very highly-regarded at Chelsea. He was working with the youth and reserve teams but he also had a lot of interaction with the first team and everyone respected him from then.”

After winning the Football League Championship Manager of the Month in February, Rogers led his side to promotion to the Premier League in his very first season at the club. Swansea City finished the season in style, defeating Ipswich Town 4-1 as they secured
a place in the England’s top flight football for the 2011-2012 season. Brendan’s biggest challenge now will be to ensure they stay afloat, avoiding relegation.
While Rogers enjoyed his first win over the weekend, Chelsea stumbled to a 3-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Lampard said he was certain Swansea City would do well under Rogers, even though this was his first time managing a club in the Premier
League.

“He's also has a great character. For me, I hope he does very well at Swansea this year.
In the long-term future, he can go anywhere he wants."
