Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun confident he can help misfiring striker Fernando Torres

Torres’ debut for the Blues against former side Liverpool ended in a 1-0 loss for Chelsea, with the Spaniard proving to be a flop. The 27-year-old missed a lot of opportunities against Manchester United in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final
at Stamford Bridge last week and then again over the weekend against Wigan Athletic.
Benayoun admitted that while Torres had failed to score as yet, his movement and overall performance was improving with every game. The Israeli international said while speaking to reporters, “I know he didn't score (against Wigan) but if you look at most
of the games he's played for Chelsea he does great movement.”
He claimed that the Spaniard was having trouble adjusting to the Blues’ style of play, which was mostly centered around Ivorian striker http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044. Benayoun felt that a slight change in formation could provide Torres with a chance to finally score. He
said, “http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are used to playing with Didier (Drogba), so that means playing up to his body, not playing behind the defenders into the space which is where Fernando wants the ball.”
Benayoun said that Torres had been unlucky against Wigan over the weekend, and given the chance, had the potential to be the top scorer for the Blues. He continued, “He is doing the right movement. He was unlucky (on Saturday), and like any striker if you
miss a few chances you lose a bit of confidence. But as soon as he scores one I can promise you he will be the top scorer.”
According to the Israeli midfielder, Fernando Torres is the best striker in the world and he revealed he could not wait to help him find his debut goal for Chelsea. Having previously played with Torres at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 for three years, Benayoun claims to be
accustomed to Torres’ style of play and is certain he can help him regain his confidence and become an important part of the Chelsea squad.
