Everyone knows how Chelsea became one of the biggest clubs in football and it was not only because of Roman Abrahmovic buying the club but also because of the introduction of “the special one.”
With Jose Mourinho being in charge of the Premier League side, the team did wonders as he helped the win their first double and also took them forward to winning two Premier League titles in a row.
Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the great English club Manchester Untied while Rafael Benitez was the one controlling Liverpool. With such big names surrounding Jose Mourinho while being the boss of Chelsea, the Portuguese tactician had no problems talking
his opponents down as he helped the blues become one of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Despite the fact Mourinho was a success, he was still seen having problems with the owners and that was the basic reason why he was assigned as the boss of Inter Milan – the team where he really managed to show his talents. By signing a few new players in
the Italian side, he helped the side win their first treble since the past 45 years and later joined the Spanish giants Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu – the stadium where he helped Inter Milan win the UEFA Champions League final against the German Champions
Bayern Munich.
Jose Mourinho is definitely one of the best managers but with him out, Chelsea were out of options and later, after appointing a few managers, they chose the former Milan coach Carlo Ancelloti as their coach. The Italian coach did a fine job with the club
and helped the English side win another double but recently it was seen that with Ray Wilkins out of the team’s managing squad, the team’s performance simply lowered and they lost three games in a row.
Even though the blues were in the race towards the Premier League title, they still couldn’t handle all the pressure and as Sir Alex Ferguson saw the opportunity, he took the Red Devils back to the top spot, sitting two points clear to Chelsea and Arsenal
who are currently at the number 2 and number 3 spot, with only goal difference separating both the sides.
Recently, every football fan had their eyes on the Spanish La Liga as Real Madrid and Barcelona collided in an “el Clasico” in Camp Nou, the home of the Catalan giants.
Josep Guardiola was the one managing the Catalan side and he was against a tough looking Real Madrid side which was under Jose Mourinho. With Mourinho in charge, it was expected that the Catalan giants were going to be defeated but the tides totally turned
and it was the Catalan side that actually managed to win 5-0 at home and gave the Los Blancos a humiliating defeat.
With Guardiola showing the world that he is definitely a great tactician, Chelsea’s owners saw how great a manager he is and looked to be interested in bringing him to their side as a manager. With Guardiola being a total success in Barcelona, Chelsea wanted
him to become their next boss; however, the Catalan manager is still pondering a move to Manchester United – a question which is still left unanswered. Now what is going to happen, only time can tell but Chelsea have clearly shown interest in Josep Guardiola
and the decision is now totally upon him whether he would want to manage an English club or not as his style of play is totally Spanish and non-physical.
