Chelsea should not waste any bananas on Neymar: Problem child
English Premier League giants Chelsea have not given up their chase for Santos striker Neymar, worth an estimated £40 million. The 19-year-old forward earned interest from top European sides after a terrific season with the Blues and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brazil-c2858 national team.
After interest from a host of European sides, Chelsea and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 manager Andres Villas-Boas as their new manager, they are reportedly willing to do anything to land Neymar.
Neymar has indeed proved himself with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Santos-c40446, scoring 66 goals in 134 appearances in all competitions for the Brazilian outfit. However, the youngster revealed he felt it was time for him to move to a European side where he would be guaranteed European football.
While he initially hinted on a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786, claiming he wished to move to London, he has since then changed his mind. He now seems equally eager to move to the Santiago Bernabeu to play at Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho.
His indecisiveness is just one of the reasons why the Blues should quit their chase for Neymar; the youngster obviously has some growing up to. His level of maturity and decision making abilities have proven to be inadequate on more than one occasion.
Then there is his knack of getting into trouble on and off the pitch, there have been countless episodes with Santos and the Brazilian national team. The most recent was during the Copa Libertadores final against Penarol.
Santos secured a comfortable 2-1 win over Penarol, with Neymar opening the scoring for his side. However, it was after the final whistle that the two sides got involved in a brawl, footage of which revealed Neymar stomping on an opponent during the clash.
Neymar could face a ban for his actions after the Copa Libertadores final, revealing he has anger management issues. What adds to his apparent lack of being unable to control his emotions is his passion for diving.
The 19-year-old is a certified diver, maybe even better than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 put together. He is known to shameless dive at various points during the game and no amount of criticism has managed to deter Neymar.
Do Chelsea really need a player who is more an expert at diving than at scoring goals? At least Ivory Coast international Drogba had the decency to stop when his dirty little secret was discovered; the same cannot be said for Neymar.
Let’s face it; http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 international.
So far we have established that Neymar in indecisive, has anger management issues, is an expert diver and is not a team player. Is it really necessary to list more reasons why Chelsea should not waste their money on him?
