Chelsea skipper John Terry boasts five-star strike force ahead of the Manchester United clash
Chelsea captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 has sent out a warning to league leaders Manchester United ahead of their trip to Old Trafford, a game which could very well determine who wins the English Premier League. The England international feels the Red Devils should not
take his side lightly, who boast a highly impressive strike force, in the upcoming clash on Sunday.
The 30-year-old centre-back has led his side to a highly impressive comeback, which saw them climb back from fifth place to second place on the Premier League table, to be considered title contenders once again. Chelsea are currently at second spot, just
three points behind Manchester United as they prepare to take on Sir Alex Ferguson’s side this weekend.
The London side stand the chance of going top of the table once again with a win over Manchester United, as they will be level on points but ahead on goal difference. Terry strongly believes the strike force at Stamford Bridge is capable of firing the Blues
to victory over Manchester United and eventually to the domestic title.
Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti will have the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Salomon-Kalou-c32266 to choose from ahead of the big clash. Despite an unfortunate slump in mid-season, the strikers and goal scorers have returned
to top form and the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 skipper believed they would present Manchester United with some trouble.
Terry was certain United would be preparing to deal with the Blues' star strikers. He said while speaking to reporters, “It can be pretty daunting for opponents when they see us bringing on players like Nando [Torres], Didier [Drogba], Nico [Anelka], Sala
[Kalou] or Florent [Malouda]. Those front five are so important to everything we are doing at the moment.”
With Ancelotti mostly having to choose three from the available five, there have been rumors of a rift between the strikers over more play time. However, Terry squashed all such rumors, claiming the strikers were more than happy to go along with whatever
the manager decided since they had the joint aim of trying to retain the Premier League trophy.
“Whoever plays up front is stepping up to the mark and for us to have a chance of winning the title we need those big guys always ready. Three lads start the game and the other two usually come on at some stage but there's no arguing among the players and
no disappointment,” he continued.
If that is indeed the case, then someone should explain why Salomon Kalou didn’t celebrate with the rest of the team after the 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge last weekend, even though he scored the winning goal. The 25-year-old striker
was understood to be upset at Ancelotti deciding to start with Torres, who failed to find the back of the net, once again.
