Chelsea skipper, John Terry, fails to explain his side's terrible first half performance against Manchester United
Chelsea's skipper, John Terry, has struggled to explain his team’s terrible first half performance in a title deciding fixture against Manchester United which the Blues lost, 2-1, and are now completely out of the title race.

Disappointing day but, going back two months, we would've taken this - being in the position (three points behind United at the start of the
game). We felt it was in our hands and we could come here and we could win the game”.
“Sometimes, you have to hold your hands up. We came here hoping and praying that we started well and the role was completely reversed. They had a great start and got the early goal, which settled them. But, first half, we didn't deserve anything from the
game at all”.
Chelsea, that was 15 points adrift of league leaders, Manchester United, two months ago, was in a strong position to overcome United in the Barclays Premier League standings as a win for the Blues would have taken them to the top spot with only two games
to go.
However, Carlo Ancelotti’s men failed to perform and looked completely clueless in the first 45 minutes at Old Trafford as they conceded two goals which potentially killed their slim chances of overtaking Manchester United.

The Blues were all over the place and were being completely dominated by Manchester United.
Chelsea conceded the second goal with yet another error as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nemanja-Vidic-c27550, who headed the ball inside the net to put United 2-0 up.
Chelsea had a better second half and also got one goal back through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Lampard-c14097 but could not manage to get a positive result as the game ended 2-1 in Manchester United’s favour.
Two months ago, Chelsea was completely ruled out of the title race as they were 15 points behind Manchester United but the Blues’ impressive form closed the gap to three points.
However, this recent defeat against Manchester United has put Chelsea six points behind United and it is very unlikely that Carlo Ancelotti’s men would be able to retain the Barclays Premier League title.
Chelsea still has a mathematical chance of retaining their title but Manchester United only need one point out of their last two games to be crowned as the Champions of England for the record 19th time.
