Chelsea starting season without goalkeeper Petr Cech, Deco could be going back to Brazil

There is bad news for the Blues; it seems that they will be without their star that helped them attain the Premier League title last season. News has it that Chelsea’s first choice goalkeeper Petr Cech will not be playing for them for the starting 3 to 4 weeks of the 2010-11 season.
The 1.96m tall shot-stopper got the injury in a training session. Early reports by the on field staff available have told that the goalkeeper has had a calf injury. The trainers have told that Cech got the injury while he was running during the practice session.
The doctors present immediately took the Czech goalkeeper for first aid after which he was taken for scans to assess the initial report of his condition. The injury took place at the Cobham training camp of Chelsea and doctors have told that the injury taken by Cech is similar to the one he picked up last season but they hope that he will heal soon.
Cech had injured his calf muscles in the Champions League while playing against Inter Milan in the previous season. Back then Chelsea saw an early exit from the League as they were not able to proceed from the round of 16.
Inter Milan knocked off Chelsea from the League and later on went to win the title against Bayern Munich but Chelsea were not left empty handed as they did acquire the Premier League title bringing a halt to defending champions Manchester United’s march towards their fourth consecutive title.
Now with the seemingly same injury as the last time it is anticipated that Cech will miss the preseason campaign of the Blues. If injury takes 3 to 4 weeks time then it is certain that he will also be missing the Community Shield match against Manchester United happening in about a fort week’s time.
The situation gives rise to Carlo Ancelotti’s judgment which will decide the crucial question to either bring on the reserve goalkeeper Hilario or the substitute Ross Turnbull.
There is news from the Chelsea player Deco too; he has revealed that he is on the verge of leaving Chelsea and making a comeback in Brazil. The player has told that though the club has had a good year at EPL he is not entirely happy with his stay at Stamford Bridge.
There are rumours circulating that the Brazilian born player attacking midfielder will be making a transfer to Fluminense. Deco’s contract with Stamford Bridge is about to expire and the 32 year old player is thinking of making a change once again.
The current Portuguese player is thinking of making a transfer to the Rio de Janeiro club but he himself has not pointed out the club yet. There are some reports that the player is being presented by option from some foreign clubs too.
Deco has played 75 matches for Portugal in which he has scored 5 goals. He has been playing for them since 2003 while he has also been a part of Porto for whom he has capped 154 matches in which he has scored 32 goals. For Barcelona he has 11 goals in 113 matches and for Chelsea he has had 5 goals in 43 matches.
While talking to media the star has told, “It's been 13 years since I left Brazil for playing in Europe. Now I want to go back home and play in my country because I have never been able to win a title there”.
He added to that saying, “I want to return to Brazil most of all because of personal reasons but I am still under contract at Chelsea and I have to resolve that. I expect to have my situation resolved before July”.
