It was the 22-year-old who scored his side’s equalizer against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend in the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane. Having already scored ten goals in 19 appearances in all competitions, Sturridge looks to be on the way to 20+ goals at the
end of this season.
The ambitious striker has been mostly played on the wing by manager Andre Villas-Boas, which makes his goal tally all the more impressive. However, Sturridge does not seem to be satisfied with his performance so far and was certain he would improve as the
season progressed.
Sturridge said while speaking to reporters:
“I feel I could have taken the first chance and I'll be working hard to improve my game because I know I can do a lot better than I am now.”

Sturridge said:
“Rami makes great runs and was unfortunate not scoring, but he has five goals so he is getting his fair share of goals.
His energy is unbelievable and you can see every game he plays in he gets a chance because of the way he runs.”
According to Sturridge, the Brazilian midfielder was unfortunate to not have scored and was one of the best players on the pitch. He felt the midfielder’s runs were terrific and were the main reason why he had been in top form for the Blues.
As for the Premier League title race, Sturridge was certain it was anyone’s title to claim. He revealed he was certain the race for the Premier League crown could very well continue until the last game of the season.
The English defender continued:
“It's going to be a tight Premier League race all the way down to the final game and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully I can play a big part in the team lifting the league and I do believe we can do that.”
