The 27-year-old joined the London side for a record breaking fee of 50 million pounds on the deadline day of the January transfer window of last season. He was mainly bought from the Reds so he could eventually replace http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 as being the main striker
for the Blues.
Unfortunately for Chelsea and Torres, the striker has been in terrible form ever since arriving at Stamford Bridge. The striker has only managed to score five goals in 46 appearances for the Blues in all competitions so far and doesn’t seem to be improving
as his first full season at the club comes to a close.
With Drogba away at the African Cup of Nations, Torres had the opportunity to shine for the Blues, something he was unable to do. As a result Chelsea have greatly suffered and have slipped from the top four on the English Premier League table to fifth place.
Torres said in an interview:
“To be honest, after one year I was expecting things to be better than they are now. On the pitch, it is a difficult time for Chelsea because we are not finding the results but we're changing things, like playing a different style and still we have a
young team to do it.”
While Torres admitted he had expected to do better, he believed the current Chelsea squad could still recover from the mid-season slump and manage a UEFA Champions League spot finish. In addition to that, Torres felt it was strange that he was unable to
score.
The Spaniard revealed:
“It's such a strange feeling now because I am feeling better than ever physically. I am not finding the chances and, when I do find the chances, I cannot score.”

his long term future to the club.
Torres continued:
“My present and my future are here. I have many things to do here and I want to do it because it's I wanted in every club I've been at, so that is not going to be different.”
