Chelsea striker Fernando Torres revealed it was because of injuries that he had been out of form since moving to Stamford Bridge in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old moved to the London club in the January transfer window for a record breaking fee of £50 million from English Premier League rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809.
Despite the astronomical transfer fee, Torres failed to deliver at his new club, scoring just one goal in the second part of the season.
The Spain international suffered much criticism for failing to find the back of the net, along with then Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti for choosing to start with him.
It was claimed that Torres had not settled in with the squad at Chelsea which is why he was unable to score.
However, the striker recently revealed he had no trouble fitting in with the Blues but had been in poor form because of injuries.
Torres said while speaking to reporters:
“I felt very comfortable from the beginning. I felt good and I was really committed.
It has been a tough year for me.”
Torres has been out of form for club as well as country; he went on to make just four appearances for Spain in the year 2010-2011.
The Spaniard continued:
“I have only played twice for the national team in recent times.
The injuries I have had prevented me from being in good shape.”
However, he seems to have found his goal scoring form; finding the back of the net for Spain against the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034 in an international friendly.
Torres came off the bench as a late substitute for his country and scored the last goal in the impressive 4-0 win on Saturday.

Torres revealed:
“I am happy that the team won and that everything was perfect.
Now I will think of the Venezuela game on Tuesday and then afterwards I will go on my holidays.”
Torres admitted he was looking forward to next season, hoping he would do better than the current season.
He continued:
“I hope that next season will be different.”
In 18 appearances in all competitions for the Blues, Torres managed to find the back of the net just once, in a Premier League fixture against West Ham United.
The former Liverpool striker had to go 903 minutes before scoring his first goal, which came as a disappointment for the fourth most expensive footballer in history.
With http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 currently looking for a new manager, Torres can be hopeful ahead of next season, when he will receive another chance to prove himself.
