Recent reports reveal English Premier League side Chelsea have agreed terms with Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua for striker Nicolas Anelka. The Frenchman will be leaving the Blues in the January transfer window in a permanent move.
The 32-year-old forward has reportedly signed a two year deal with the Chinese side, which will undoubtedly make him the biggest star in the Chinese Super League. He is expected to earn a £175,000 a week salary, which is more than enough for a player nearing
his retirement.

Anelka’s move to Shenhua is definitely inspired by money, considering the fact that he could have transferred to any side in the English Premier League or Europe. However, those moves would not have paid as much and Anelka seems to want a comfortable retirement.
The Blues striker will be helpful to a side which has been struggling in the Chinese Super League, finishing 11th out of 16 sides in the League. The Shenhua players are reportedly very excited to welcome their newest signing in the January transfer

Drogba is still one of the most popular soccer stars in the world, though he will be 34 years old. We have talked a lot with Drogba's agent and promised to provide him with a three-year contract.”
