UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea are expected to step up their chase for Wigan Athletic forward Victor Moses in the current transfer window.
Wigan are reportedly demanding over 12 million pounds for the 21-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nigeria-c2970 international, while Chelsea were initially willing to pay just 6 million pounds. It was their under valuation of the player that caused Wigan Athletic to reject their first
bid.
However, since the Blues are now aware that they will have to pay more to secure the services of Moses, they are expected to make an improved bid for the second striker c*m winger. Wigan Athletic could agree to as much as 10 million pounds if the London
side offers.
Moses is known to want a move away from DW Stadium, with his agent confirming that the 21-year-old would like for a chance to play Champions League football with a top side. It is for this reason that he turned down a new contract offered by Wigan Athletic,
which would have doubled his wages.
With just a year remaining on his contract, Wigan Athletic would be wise to make some money off him instead of letting him leave on a free transfer next summer. Moses’ agent was reported to have said:
“I will do all I can to make the move happen for Victor.”
It seems Wigan Athletic are destined to lose Moses in this summer transfer window, even if it is to some club other than http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. They seem to have come to terms with the fact, which is why they have made it clear that they will not accept anything below
their valuation of the player; 12 million pounds.

Despite signing a four year contract with the side, he transferred to Wigan Athletic in the summer of 2009 for 2.5 million pounds. He has made 78 appearances for the Latics since then and has scored nine goals, with 12 assists.
