Chelsea win race by paying record breaking fee to sign MK Dons’ 14-year-old midfielder Oluwaseyi Ojo
English Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly agreed to pay a record breaking amount of £2 million for 14-year-old Oluwaseyi Ojo. Ojo becomes the most expensive teenager, with the Blues smashing all past records to secure his signature ahead of all the other suitors.
The likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 have beaten them to it. It has not been easy for the London side though, having had their initial three bids rejected by Ojo’s current club Milton Keynes Dons.
Ojo currently plays for the MK Dons http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/U-17-Youth-team-c40787 and has managed to impress for both club and country, which is why he was the subject of interest for scouts from various top sides. The League One star has already been invited to train with the senior side by manager Karl Robinson, who like everyone else has spotted the youngster’s talent.

Ojo said while speaking to reporters:
“I was very excited and surprised, being one of the youngest is a bit of added pressure but it is also a bit of an advantage.”
Chelsea will now be trying to determine where to place the youngster when he finally arrives at the Cobham training ground. The Blues youth coaches will have a tough decision ahead of them in correctly assessing Ojo, who could easily go on to become one of the best players in the world with the right development and training.
The youngster revealed his admiration for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 stars Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Cesc Fabregas, players he aspires to be like in the future. If things continue as they are then there is no doubt Ojo will go on to be a better player than the La Liga stars he looks up to.
He continued:
“The professional players that I want to be like in the future are Xavi, Iniesta and Fabregas.”
