Chelsea winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 demands consistency
Chelsea winger, Florent Malouda, revealed he felt his side lacked consistency and said they could learn a thing or two from Premier League champions Manchester United. Despite being happy under the new manager, Andre Villas-Boas, the Frenchman felt the Blues
owner Roman Abramovich did not make the right decision by sacking Carlo Ancelotti.
The Italian manager was sacked at the end of last season after he failed to deliver any silverware that season. His departure came just a year after the former AC Milan boss had led the London side to their first ever domestic double of the English Premier
League and the FA Cup. Malouda felt the constant change in managers had adversely affected the squad.
The appointment of Villas-Boas makes him the sixth manager since Abramovich bought the club in 2003. The Russian billionaire started off by sacking Claudio Ranieri and appointed Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, who was sacked mid-season in 2007. Avram Grant
replaced him, but was also shown the door after a trophy-less season.
World Cup winning coach Luiz Felipe Scolari was brought in, but after failing to impress the squad, he was also sacked. While his temporary replacement, Guus Hiddink, was highly effective, he was not given the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 on a more permanent basis. Instead Ancelotti
was brought in and even thought he managed success in his first season, he was unable to repeat it in his second season.
Malouda felt the changes in managers had created an atmosphere of uncertainty at the club, which was one of the reasons for their poor performances. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international felt Manchester United had done well to stick with one manager for so many years.
Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson has been in charge at Old Trafford since 1986.
Malouda said in an interview:
“We won the Double and then Carlo gets fired. It wouldn't happen to Alex Ferguson.
But I like the new manager and hope he sticks around. I've had four or five since I've been here. We need consistency.”
Malouda revealed he felt the young Portuguese would go on to be for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 manager and scored the winner against West Bromwich Albion in the second
fixture of the new English Premier League season. Chelsea secure all three points with a close 2-1 win over the Baggies on Saturday.
