Chelsea winger http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Florent-Malouda-c13838 linked with Juventus move
After the arrival of Juan Mata from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 are reportedly considering selling French winger Florent Malouda. The 31-year-old currently has a place in the starting XI at Stamford Bridge, but the former Valencia player could soon change that. Malouda
could be on his way to Juventus, where he will have more of a chance at regular football.
Like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Yuri-Zhirkov-c37683, who left earlier on in the season, Malouda could be heading towards a Stamford Bridge exit. The new Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas is looking to revive the ageing Chelsea squad, who failed to win any trophies last season. Apart from
bringing in younger players, the Portuguese boss is considering offloading some older players.
Malouda, who has lacked consistency over the past seasons, seems to be on Villas-Boas’ list. Like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752, the Frenchman has been linked with Juventus, with the Serie A side looking for experienced players to add to their squad in the current summer transfer
window. With just a week remaining in the summer transfer window, the move could very well go through on the deadline day.
It is not yet certain whether the move will be a season long loan move or a more permanent transfer. The Italian side seemed to want the Brazilian defender, Alex, on a loan move so it can be expected that they are not looking for any long-term signings.
It seems highly unlikely though that the Blues will want to send Malouda out on a loan move.
With the 31-year-old http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international not expected to play for too long, he will definitely want a permanent contract and a club where he can play first team football until he finally decides to retire. It has been reported by a source that Juventus
are willing to offer the Frenchman a three-year contract with a noticeably lower salary but a chance to play in the first team.
There have been no official comments from either side regarding the matter, as both parties are considering their options. If Malouda leaves the London side, he will bring an end to a five year long career. He’s made a total of 185 appearances for Chelsea
in all competitions since then and has scored 42 goals.
