Juan Mata, the Chelsea winger, revealed his friendship with fellow http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Silva-c10601 would not matter when the two went head to head on Monday at Stamford Bridge. According to the 23-year-old, he was aiming for a win and would not let anything
stand in the way.
Silva, the 25-year-old attacking midfielder, has done really well at Manchester City since transferring from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 in 2010. The Manchester side are currently are top of the league, ten points clear of Chelsea, and are favourites to win the Premier League
title.
Mata said while speaking to reporters:
“He's my friend. He's doing very well, playing for Man City and I will change my shirt with him. This season has been very, very good for him because he's showing his level.”
Silva is currently in the lead with assists, having provided eight this season, and has even scored four goals. He will be an important player for Manchester City when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Monday in the late night kick off.
It is guaranteed that Manchester City will come guns blazing, especially after their elimination from the UEFA Champions League. The Blues on the on the other hand qualified top of their group and will be looking to retain their winning form.
Mata admitted that while City presented a tough task in the Premier League, he was aiming for a win and was confident his side could emerge as winners on Monday. Mata revealed:
“I'm just thinking of winning.”
He added:
“Man City are having a great Premier League.”
While the Blues currently sit at fourth place on the Premier League table, they will have a chance to improve their position and gain some valuable points which would decrease the gap between them and the table toppers. Mata was certain the London side could
improve their position and return to winning ways in the Premier League with the upcoming clash against Manchester City.
Mata continued:
“There are so many weeks until the Premier League finishes. We will keep going every week to win and to be closest to the leader.”
