Mata said while speaking to reporters:
“The whole squad is not content with our game at the moment.
We are not functioning well enough in the Premier League and we need a quick reaction. That is our main objective.”
The 23-year-old admitted the manager Andre Villas-Boas was not happy with the team either and wanted them to improve on the pitch. The young Portuguese manager believed if the players developed the winning mentality they would go on to do well in the future.
He revealed:
“Villas-Boas says it is a question of mentality and we can develop a superior game.
We need to rediscover our best level because we are entering a very important time now with the Champions League and Premier League.”

be the perfect opportunity for Torres to shine and prove that he had what it takes to be a world class striker.
Mata continued:
“For a forward like Fernando (Torres) not to score is agony because he is such a great player. But he can end that at any time and Sunday could be the perfect day.
His belief is good. I know he believes in himself and that is important.”
