"We decided that we wouldn't start any speculation during the period that we have between now and the end of the season where we have some very important games to play and we have agreed that we would leave that until the end of the season.
"Since Robbie took over we've had 15 games, 10 wins, four draws and one defeat. It's been a good turnaround.”
"We just went through a period where performances and results weren’t very good and we've managed to turn that around with the same team of players.”
He then went on to insist that the team needed to focus on seeing out the rest of the season on a high and doing as well as they possibly could.
However, he applauded Di Matteo for the work he had done at the club and hoped for things to work out for the manager and for the club in the future.
