Chelsea’s Ashley Cole tips Daniel Sturridge to shine next season – EPL news
Chelsea defender, Ashley Cole, has claimed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniel-Sturridge-c10076 could have a huge part to play for the Blues in the upcoming 2011/12 Barclays Premier League. The England international has tipped the youngster to have a major impact at Stamford Bridge next
season, provided he gets a chance to prove his worth.
With the number of big name strikers in the Chelsea squad, Daniel Sturridge has had a hard time making his mark at Stamford Bridge. The Blues already have the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Torres-c13707 in their ranks,
leaving no room for Sturridge in the Chelsea manager’s plans.
The youngster had limited first team opportunities with the Blues this season, and he was ultimately loaned out to Bolton Wanderers in the second half of the campaign to get some regular paying time under his belt.
It was there that the youngster started to show that he can compete with the very best in England. Sturridge has scored eight times in twelve appearances for Bolton, making himself an instant hero at Reebok Stadium. It is understood that Bolton manager,
Owen Coyle, is keen to sign the striker on a permanent basis.

seen him in training and he's honestly one of the hardest players I've ever had to mark. His movement is unreal."
He added: "Hopefully when he comes back next season he'll see more opportunities and bang goals in for us like he has done for Bolton."

The defender admitted that it had been a tough campaign for the Blues, but he believes that the team did well to recover from their mid-season slump to finish second in the League
standings.
He said, “At the start of the season we played some good football, some s**y football to be fair. When we had that crazy, not even a blip, an unheard of period for any team, everyone wrote us off and rightly so. But give us credit for coming back and it's
an achievement to come second in the Premier League."
Chelsea finished the Barclays Premier League campaign in second place, nine points behind Champions, Manchester United.
