Chelsea left back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ashley-Cole-c6809, has revealed that he is desperately waiting for Manchester United showdown and believed that the Blues could actually edge out the Red Devils. Both Chelsea and Manchester United meet each other on Sunday, May 8, at Old Trafford.
The last time these two teams met at the same venue, Chelsea emerged out 2-1 winners. Cole is hoping for a repeat of the same result in the upcoming game. The 30-year-old believed that pressure would be upon Sir Alex Ferguson’s side, who dropped points against Arsenal at the Emirates last weekend. The Gunners registered a 1-0 win over current leaders which allowed Chelsea to get back in the title race after Carlo Ancelotti’s side themselves recorded a hard fought 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Cole insisted that the memory of previous titles will certainly enable his team to push hard against the Red Devils for whom even a draw will be a decent result. The former Arsenal man mentioned, "I think the pressure is what drives people on. It makes you want to prove something, to carry on going and keep on winning things. I just want to win anything because I love the feeling. I've still got many years of desire left in me and the players we have here are all the same as me in that respect. When you win things, that's what makes you realise how good it is."
Upon voicing his opinion regarding his career, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 International added that he still has a lot left in him and would continue playing the game unless the desire is buried. He wished to win more silverware with the club and also pointed towards the need of a UEFA Champions League award, which the Englishman has not won in his career thus far.
The defender concluded by saying, "When you stop getting that feeling, I think that's when a lot of players tend to stop playing football because they haven't got the desire anymore."
Chelsea are currently second in the League table and only three points adrift of the league leaders, Manchester United.
